Olešnice (German: Elexnitz) is a municipality and village in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

Olešnice lies approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) south-east of České Budějovice and 140 km (87 mi) south of Prague.

Olešnice consists of three municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] The first written mention of Olešnice is from 1186.
