Omer Dagan

Omer Dagan (born July 9, 1976) is an Israel Defense Force reserve officer with the rank of Brigadier General, who served as commander of the Lotem unit from November 2019 to May 2023.

Dagan holds a BA in computer science and mathematics from Bar-Ilan University and an MA in political science with a specialization in National Security and Diplomacy from Tel Aviv University.

[3] In 1997, he completed an officers' course and was appointed commander of a programming course at the Basmach [he] (בסמ"ח) (IDF School of Computer Science), a position he held until 1999.

[1][3] From 2006 to 2009 he served as the bureau chief of Ami Shafran, head of the Computer Service Directorate.

Subsequently, he served as a chief of staff in the Cyber Defense Division of the Computer Service Directorate, of which Dagan was one of its founders.
