Omsk State Transport University

In April 1896, the State Council of the Russian Empire decided to establish the Tomsk Technological Institute (TTI).

On October 9, 1900, the TTI began training mechanics and construction engineers.

In 1932, the Novosibirsk Institute of Railway Engineers was created from the track-building faculty, and the SIIT itself was transformed into the Tomsk Electromechanical Institute of Transport Engineers (TEMIIT).

In 1994, the institute was transformed into an academy and in 1997 gained the status of university.
