Onthophagus rectecornutus, is a species of dung beetle found in India,[1] Sri Lanka,[2] Nepal,[3] China, Sunda Islands and Thailand.
[4] This oval, very convex species has an average length of about 7 to 10 mm (0.28 to 0.39 in).
Body testaceous yellow, with a faint metallic greenish shine and black mottling.
Vertex bears a pair of unconnected horns which are sloping backwards.
Elytra deeply striate with fairly strongly and closely punctured intervals.
