Opostega salaciella

The forewings are white; sometimes an indistinct yellowish fascia towards apex, often entirely absent.

The first joint of the antennae is greatly expanded and forms an "eyelid" over the compound eye.

In the outer part of the forewing (where the wing fringes begin) there may be a faint, yellowish transverse stripe that does not reach all the way to the leading edge.

[1] The moths fly boldly towards dusk, and come freely to lamps, from June to July depending on the location.

[2][3][4][5] The larvae feed on Rumex acetosella, probably inside the stems.
