The racial makeup of the township was 97.79% White, 1.11% Native American, 0.09% Asian, and 1.02% from two or more races.

There were 411 households, out of which 41.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.9% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% were non-families.

17.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
