The village of Fife Lake lies just west of Springfield Township, in Grand Traverse County.

A sliver of the eponymous Fife Lake is within the western edge of the township.

[4] As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,270 people, 458 households, and 348 families residing in the township.

18.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
