Osaka Pro Wrestling Championship

The title was established in 2000 when Super Delfin defeated Dick Togo to be crowned the inaugural champion.

As of August 24, 2024[update], there have been a total of 21 recognized champions, who have had a combined 37 official reigns and there have been four vacancies.

[1] On January 18, 2019, the title was renamed Osaka Openweight Championship (大阪無差別級王座, Ōsaka Musabetsu-kyū Ōza).

[2][3] During the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, Osaka Pro Wrestling (OPW) remained fairly inactive, having held only one event in 2020 and one in 2021.

On May 1, a new belt was unveiled and Zeus defeated Kazuaki Mihara to win the title, which was now once again referred to as the Osaka Pro Wrestling Championship.
