Othman al-Ghanmi (born 1958) is a former military officer with the rank of General in the Iraqi Ground Forces, who served as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces from 2015 to 2020.
On 27 July 2019, he received the Legion of Merit from the United States Armed Forces and became the first Republic of Iraq citizen to receive the award.
Al-Ghanimi was born in 1958 in Sumer, Afak District, Al-Qadisiyyah Governorate.
In 2014 he was appointed deputy chief of staff, having formerly led the Mid Euphrates Command.
