Outside the Wall (film)

[1] Pardoned Larry Nelson (Basehart), once imprisoned for committing a manslaughter in his reformatory, leaves Eastern State Penitentiary after serving nearly half of his thirty-year sentence, and has problems settling into the outside world.

Determined not to fall into the clutches of the law again, he takes a job as a lab assistant in a country sanitarium.

Larry recognises one of the patients in the sanitarium as Jack Bernard (Hoyt), another ex-convict who has just pulled off a million-dollar heist.

Bernard offers Larry money to take some of the proceeds of the heist to his ex-wife (Hasso), but when he does, she mobilizes her gang to try to get the rest of the loot.

Sweet-and-wholesome nurse Ann (Hart) helps Larry to get out of the dangerous situation.
