Paddy Johnston

Paddy Johnston (1933 – 28 September 2001) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder at senior level for the Kilkenny county team.

He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team before later joining the junior side.

Johnston went on to play a brief role for Kilkenny and won one Leinster medal as a non-playing substitute.

[2] In retirement from playing, Johnston became involved in team management, coaching and refereeing.

Johnston refereed the 1976 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final between Cork and Wexford.
