Palaquium thwaitesii is a species of plant in the family Sapotaceae.

It is endemic to Sri Lanka.

Scattered, oblong-lanceolate-linear, tapering ends, lateral veins inconspicuous.

Young parts rusty hairy.

Rain forest understory of wet zone.
