Palladius of Antioch

Palladius was a hermit in the desert near Antioch (modern Turkey).

[1] Palladius died in 390 of natural causes and was canonized in pre-Congregation times.

Saint Palladius the Desert Dweller led an ascetic life in a mountain cave near Syrian Antioch.

By some accounts, a merchant was once found murdered by robbers near his cave.

[2] The saint died at the end of the fourth century, leaving behind several works.
