Parachinar Public Library

[5] From its operational commencement in 1986 until 2006, the library was frequented by students and academics for research and study.

[5] However, the period between 2007 and 2011 marked a decline in its use due to regional militancy, leading to Parachinar's isolation and the library's subsequent neglect.

[5] The library, which housed around 4,000 books, experienced a marked decrease in visitors, transforming into a seldom-used space.

[5] Staffing was limited to a member of the Kurram Levies, who performed dual roles as a librarian and security guard, without specialized training in library management.

[5] This situation contributed to the library's gradual deterioration, both in terms of physical infrastructure and its role as a community educational resource.
