Parasyrinx alta

Parasyrinx alta is an extinct species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk unassigned in the superfamily Conoidea.

The body whorl is subangulate in front, denoting the position of growth as the suture became developed.

The aperture is ovate, contracted anteriorly, and terminates in a rather long siphonal canal.

The columella is twisted, covered with a smooth, thin deposit of shelly enamel.

Below the keel it is concave, with a low obtuse spiral rib on the body whorl.
