Parma, New York

Parma is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States.

[4] The town, which was named after Parma in Italy, was organized in 1808 in what was then Genesee County.

As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 14,822 people, 5,283 households, and 4,030 families residing in the town.

There were 5,502 housing units at an average density of 131.1 per square mile (50.6/km2).

18.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
