It is located on the border between Oneida and Vilas counties, just south of Wisconsin Highway 70[3] and northwest of Kawaguesaga Lake.

[3] It has a maximum depth of 23 feet,[1] and bluegill, northern pike and largemouth bass can be caught.

[1][3] There is a small residential development on the northwest shore of the lake,[4] and houses on the north and the eastern sides.
