Patricia Yapp Syau Yin

Patricia Yapp Syau Yin is a Malaysian military pilot and flight instructor.

In 1997, in her second semester of study, she applied for the Royal Malaysian Air Force cadet programme without her parents' knowledge.

After successfully completing the first stage of the selection process, she told her parents and they agreed to her career change.

After completing her flight training in 2002, she chose to be a fighter pilot and flew Aermacchi MB-339 aircraft for four years.

She eventually transitioned to the Strategic and Operations Division, where she oversaw bilateral and multilateral air exercises with a variety of countries.
