Paul Mahoney (American lawyer)

Mahoney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1981 and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 1984.

[1] Mahoney clerked for Judge Ralph K. Winter Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and for United States Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.

His areas of academic interest are securities regulation, law and economic development, corporate finance, financial derivatives and contracts.

[2] Mahoney is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and was an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Perspectives and a director of the American Law and Economics Association.
