Pelecyphora cubensis

Pelecyphora cubensis is a species of flowering plant in the family Cactaceae, native to Cuba.

The ten to 15 white, finely downy marginal spines are radiating.

[2] The first description as Coryphantha cubensis by Nathaniel Lord Britton and Joseph Nelson Rose was published in 1912.

[3] The specific epithet cubensis refers to the occurrence of the species in Cuba.

[4] David Aquino & Daniel Sánchez moved the species to Pelecyphora based on phylogenetic studies in 2022.
