Philip Bonham-Carter

Philip Herman Bonham-Carter (12 November 1891 – 7 January 1934) was an English first-class cricketer and Royal Navy officer.

The son of Herman Bonham-Carter and his wife, Margaret Louisa Wathen, he was born at Karachi in British India.

[2] He served during the First World War, eventually reaching the rank of lieutenant commander.

A physically strong and deeply religious man, he was known during his naval service as "Bonham the Good".

[4] He played two further first-class matches for the Royal Navy, against the Army at Lord's in 1921 and the Marylebone Cricket Club at Chatham in 1929.
