Phrynopus kotosh is a species of frog in the family Strabomantidae.
It is endemic to Peru and only known from its type locality near Huancapallac, Huánuco Region, at 2,950 m (9,680 ft) asl in the Cordillera Central (Peruvian Andes).
Skin on dorsum is shagreen and has scattered tubercles and forms thoracical and discontinuous dorsolateral folds.
[2] The species is only known from the type series collected in 1969, and its natural history is unknown.
Deforestation and pollution caused by agriculture and cattle breeding are potential threats.
