Pine River is a town in Lincoln County, Wisconsin.

[3] The town of Pine River occupies the southeast corner of Lincoln County.

Part of the town's western border is with the city of Merrill, the Lincoln county seat.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 1,877 people, 673 households, and 565 families residing in the town.

12.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
