Platystomos albinus is a species of beetle in the family Anthribidae, the fungus weevils.
[1] Adults measure 7 to 10 mm (0.3–0.4 in).
[2] The larvae feed on decaying trees, and are associated with the fungus Daldinia.
[3] It is present in deciduous forests throughout Europe and the Near East, including central southern and eastern Britain.
[4] The species was described by Carl Linnaeus in his Systema Naturae.
