Plummers Point

It is on a headland on the southern side of Tauranga Harbour, opposite Motuhoa Island, and between Mangawhai Bay and Te Puna Estuary.

The East Coast Main Trunk forms its southern boundary.

[5] Plummers Point is described by Statistics New Zealand as a rural settlement, which covers 0.62 km2 (0.24 sq mi)[1] and had an estimated population of 220 as of June 2024,[2] with a population density of 355 people per km2.

It became part of the larger Te Puna statistical area for the 2023 census.

[7] Before the 2023 census, the settlement had a smaller boundary, covering 0.60 km2 (0.23 sq mi).
