Poppleton Township, Kittson County, Minnesota

Poppleton Township was organized in 1893, and named for the numerous poplar trees within its borders.

[3] According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.0 square miles (90.8 km2), of which 35.0 square miles (90.8 km2) is land and 0.03% is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 123 people, 52 households, and 39 families residing in the township.

23.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 18.4% of families and 18.3% of the population living below the poverty line, including 38.9% of under eighteens and 22.7% of those over 64.
