Richardville Township was organized in 1895, and named for George Richards, a pioneer settler.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 110 people, 43 households, and 30 families residing in the township.

The population density was 2.4 people per square mile (0.9/km2).

25.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 9.1% of families and 5.3% of the population living below the poverty line, including 3.2% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
