On April 30, 2013, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights published a counter-report,[12][13][14] and on May 17, 2013, the United Nations Economic and Social Council released a statement to the Government of Japan urging to introduce new regulations that would make sexual harassment in the workplace illegal.
