Protousnea

P. fibrillatae P. magellanica Protousnea is a genus of lichenised ascomycetes in the large family Parmeliaceae.

Protousnea species have a fruticose growth form, similar to beard lichens (genus Usnea).

The genus is endemic to southern South America.
