Pulang (1952 film)

Pulang is a 1952 Indonesian drama film directed by Basuki Effendy and starred Turino Djunaedy, Marlia Hardi, Djuriah Karno, Lies Noor, and Renny Santy.

When Japan collapsed, Tamin and his friends were brought to Java to be handed over to the Dutch troops who were trying to re-colonize Indonesia.

Tamin was advised by his friends that he could still contribute to the country by fulfilling independence in their respective fields and later he returned to his village and homeland.

Pulang was directed by twenty-one-year old Basuki Effendy for Gabungan Artis Film.
