Qi Tongsheng

[1] Previously he served as vice chairperson of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and before that, chairman of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

He was a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

[2] During the Cultural Revolution in 1968, he became a sent-down youth in Pingluo County, northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

[2] He was assigned to Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Planning Committee in October 1995.

[2] On 8 October 2024, Qi was put under investigation for alleged "serious violations of discipline and laws" by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the party's internal disciplinary body, and the National Supervisory Commission, the highest anti-corruption agency of China.
