Quitman County High School

It was established in July 2009 as the newest, and one of the smallest, high schools in the U.S. state of Georgia.

The school is located on Kaigler Road in Georgetown off of U.S. Hwy.

[3] In 2007, the Quitman County Board of Education began partnering with community members and leaders to acquire funds for building the new school.

[3] Because of the city's lack of commercial revenue and its overwhelming dependence on property and sales taxes, this placed an enormous toll on the city/county's populace.

[citation needed] In 2009, construction of the new high school was completed under the administration of Superintendent William D.
