He won the Metro Manila Film Festival Best Child Performer for Agila Ng Maynila (1988) and FAMAS Award Best Child Actor for the movie Rosenda (1989).
Herrera began his acting career at the age of seven, appearing in the TV show Agila (1987).
[1] He was one of the regular hosts of the variety show Eh Kasi Bata, along with Aiza Seguerra, L.A. Lopez and Kathleen Go Quieng.
[2] Herrera received a bachelor's degree in Communications Technology from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Herrera is a licensed SCUBA diver and hobbyist underwater photographer.
