Radomyšl

Radomyšl is a market town in Strakonice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

Radomyšl consists of six municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] Radomyšl is located about 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Strakonice and 54 km (34 mi) northwest of České Budějovice.

The highest point is the hill Trubný vrch at 577 metres (1,893 ft) above sea level.

In a deed from 1320, in which Vilém Bavor of Strakonice donates the church and the rectory to the Knights Hospitaller, Radomyšl was already referred to as a market town.

In 1359, in his will, Vilém Bavor transferred ownership of the entire village to the Knights Hospitaller order, which owned Radomyšl until the abolition of serfdom in 1848.
