She moved to Tlalpujahua where she met and married Andrés López Rayón, the father of her sons.
[3] With Andrés López Rayón she had five sons, all of which took part in the Mexican War of Independence.
One of them - Ignacio López Rayón had major impact in the liberation as a general.
Her older son - Ignacio López Rayón joined the war first in 1810.
[4] In December 1815, her younger son Francisco López Rayón was captured and sentenced to death.
