Ramsey is a village in Fayette County, Illinois, United States.
[3] The village was named after Alexander Ramsey (1815–1903), an American politician, second governor of Minnesota.
[4] U.S. Route 51 passes through the center of town, leading north 17 miles (27 km) to Pana and south 13 miles (21 km) to Vandalia, the county seat.
[5] As of the 2020 census[3] there were 911 people, 332 households, and 208 families residing in the village.
24.10% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.24% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
