Ray Jones (Western Australia politician)

Arthur Raymond Jones (18 January 1909 – 3 September 1967) was an Australian farmer and politician who served as a Country Party member of the Legislative Council of Western Australia from 1950 until his death.

Jones was born in Perth but was raised in the country, in the small Wheatbelt town of Miling.

[1] Jones enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in March 1942.

[2] In April 1948, Jones was elected to the Moora Road Board, where he served for four years.

He had married Mavis Mary Slater in February 1940, with whom he had two daughters.
