Good Hart is an unincorporated community in the township on the shore of Lake Michigan at 45°34′02″N 85°06′48″W / 45.56722°N 85.11333°W / 45.56722; -85.11333.
This was a center of Ojibwe settlement under the leadership of Joseph Black Hawk and his brother Good Heart in the early 19th-century.
[4] Indians knew the area as L'Arbre Croche, meaning crooked tree.
[7] According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 31.03 square miles (80.4 km2), including all land.
20.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
