In 1998 TCU's athletic director Eric Hyman contacted Estridge and hired him to be the voice of the Horned Frogs.

Since joining the morning show, Estridge has been credited with saving a life due to a discussion Hal Jay and he had on the symptoms of heart attacks.
In 2013 Estridge's ties with ESPN Radio allowed him to apply for the rights to broadcast the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
