Red Eye Township was named after the Redeye River.
The Redeye River flows through the southwestern part of the township.
[4] As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 421 people, 146 households, and 122 families residing in the township.
There were 146 households, out of which 39.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.9% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.8% were non-families.
13.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
