"Reggie" Brown (1940–2005) was United States Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) from 2001 to 2005.
Brown was born on February 13, 1940, in New Orleans and raised in California, graduating from El Cerrito High School in June 1957.
Brown left public service in 1979, joining DECA Group, Inc. as an executive vice president in Miami.
He worked there until 1982 when he became a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., a position he held until 1989.
In 2001, President George W. Bush named Brown Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs).
