Revolution Wind is a utility-scale offshore wind farm under construction on the Outer Continental Shelf Offshore Rhode Island that will provide a total of 704 MW of power, 400 MW to Rhode Island and 304 MW to Connecticut.
[7][8] The wind farm will consist of 65 Siemens Gamesa 11.0-200 DD turbines each providing 11 MW.
[7][10] The onshore transmission substation is being built at Quonset Point in North Kingstown, Rhode Island,[11] which is also the operations center for the project.
[14] Rhode Island state regulators approved the project in 2019.
[15] On November 17, 2023 the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management(BOEM) approved the final construction and operations plan.
