Rivière de la Savane (île d'Orléans)

The lower part of this small valley is served by Chemin Royale (route 368) which runs along the southeast shore of Île d'Orléans.

The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation; the spring flood occurs in March or April.

The Savannah river originates from a small agricultural lake (altitude: 76 metres (249 ft)), located between two hills, in Saint-François-de-l'Île-d'Orléans.

This mouth of the Savane river faces Île Madame which is 2.8 metres (9 ft 2 in) to the east.

This mouth is located 1.7 metres (5 ft 7 in) south of the village centre of Saint-François-de-l'Île-d'Orléans.
