Robert Brown (New Zealand cricketer)

He played one first-class cricket match for Otago during the 1870–71 season.

[2] His only first-class match was a January 1871 fixture against Canterbury played at Hagley Oval in Christchurch, the only match played in New Zealand during the season which has been deemed to be first-class.

[7] As well as cricket, Brown played rugby union for the Otago representative side and lawn tennis.

Brown lived at Christchurch and died in the city in 1934 aged 83.
