Robert Fitzpatrick (art executive)

[1] He studied at a Jesuit seminary before heading to Johns Hopkins University to pursue a degree in medieval French.

[2] In 1972, Fitzpatrick was elected as Baltimore, Maryland's youngest city council member while also serving as a professor of medieval French literature and dean of students at Johns Hopkins University.

[3] In 1975, Fitzpatrick was appointed president of California Institute of the Arts (colloquially known as CalArts), where he remained for 12 years.

[4] During his tenure at CalArts, Fitzpatrick served as the director of the 1984 Olympic Arts Festival in Los Angeles, California.

[13] Robert Fitzpatrick lived, studied and worked in Arizona, Texas, the deep south, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Paris, New York, and Chicago.
