Roddenbery Memorial Library

RML is a member of PINES, a program of the Georgia Public Library Service that covers 53 library systems in 143 counties of Georgia.

This program offers residents in supported libraries access to over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals.

The initial housing for the first building was the second floor of City Hall.

[5] In 1964 the library was granted a new building on North Broad Street in Cairo, as a gift from the Roddenbery family to the community.

[6] Since the library's founding in 1939 it has won the John Cotton Dana Award twice, in 1950 and 1960.
