[2] It lay 7.25 miles (11.7 km) from the junction at Inveramsay[3] at 392 feet (119 m) above sea level, the summit of the line.
[4] The station served the village and the nearby Rothie Norman House and estate.
A small wooden shelter stood on the up platform as did the signal box and the level crossing over a minor road to the south.
[6] The goods yard had a weighing machine and a crane with a 1 long ton 5 cwt (2,800 lb or 1.3 t) lift.
The station buildings and platform have been demolished and a primary school car park sits on the site.
