SM City Davao

[1] SM City Davao is built on 13.2 hectares (33 acres) of land[3] with a gross floor area of 78,735 square meters (847,500 sq ft).

[5] A passport office of the Department of Foreign Affairs occupies 3,400 square metres (37,000 sq ft) of space at the mall's third level which opened in September 2012.

[7] In the first quarter of 2023, works began for an expansion building on the left side of the mall which was once a parking lot and a transport terminal.

The victims were Prudencio Custorio, Alvin Rapista, Ronie Mosqueda, Rogelio Piodo, and Ruel Inampas.

The reason of the collapsed canopy was due to an error in construction method, according to Engineer Jaime Adalin, the chief of Davao City Building Office.
