Salma Islam (born 1 January 1955)[2] is a Bangladeshi businesswoman, politician, lawyer,[3] and a former Jatiya Sangsad member.

[5] She served as state minister of the Bangladesh government for Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

She is the Member of Presidium as well as current chair of Dhaka (district unit) of Jatiya Party (Ershad).

She was taking oath as a member of the constituents of the Awami League-led grand alliance.
