Sanuki (さぬき市, Sanuki-shi) is a city in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
The city of Sanuki was created in 2002 by merging Shido with the neighboring town of Tsuda, Nagao, Sangawa and Ōkawa.
[5][6] Sanuki has a mayor-council form of government with a directly elected mayor and a unicameral city council of 20 members.
In terms of national politics, the city is in the Kagawa 2nd district of the lower house of the Diet of Japan.
Sanuki has a mixed economy centered on agriculture and manufacturing, with a number of industrial parks .
